Building health and balance in the soil and in plants will go a long way towards limiting pest and disease issues. Similarly, the presence of beneficial soil microbes and high Brix levels (carbohydrates) in the plant will also add a level of resilience to pest and disease attack. When first confronting a problem however, there is sometimes needs to be a way to provide some quick relief without applying strong and toxic chemicals into the environment unnecessarily. Of course, biological improvements will help in the longer term but it will take a while to build to sufficient numbers and strength to provide resistance against pest and disease. In these instances, we need to provide genuine deterring power, but at the same time minimising the injury to non-target and beneficial organisms (which is typical of most chemical interventions). To achieve this, we have developed a range of specialty products which can help deal with issues such as deterring insects and disease, salinity remediation and others.
BiSect is a natural broad spectrum insect deterrent.
It combines the beneficial insect deterring properties of several naturally occurring botanical oils including ;
Neem, Clove & Garlic.
BiSect can be used as a foliar spray where it will provide a physical barrier to leaf sucking insects or it can be incorporated into the soil to deter root feeders.
BiSect contains more than 25 active natural compounds that deter insects. It works on contact but also has a systemic action.
BiSect is also considered to play a preventative role against common leaf diseases such as Helmo, Mildews, Rust, Anthracnose, Leaf spot, Botrytis, Scab & Alternaria.
Leach contains Ammonium Laurel & Ammonium Laureth sulphate
15% w/v
Leach flocculates soils and helps displace Sodium from exchange sites. A process that leads to the formation of aggregates and pore spaces in the soil profile. By creating soil aggregates, Leach applications can encourage the leaching of salts and the freeing up of Calcium and Magnesium.
The reduction of Salinity levels within the root zone also enables the plant to resume the absorption of both water and nutrients.
TriGuard is a safe and effective alternative to relieve the pressure associated with Nematodes, Ground Pearl & other root feeding organisms.
TriGuard contains natural occurring oils extracted from several plants including Tea tree, Neem, Eucalyptus & Clove oils.
TriGuard also contains Humic & Fulvic acids and nutrients to help relieve stress affected plants.
It is probable that these natural compounds will provide plants with a continuing level of protection against invertebrate pests.
TriGuard is best used as a preventative in early Spring & Autumn or strategically at times of stress.
14.5% Si, 17% K w/v. Toughen-UP is a Silica based material. Silica is defined as a ‘beneficial element’, and is found in all plants. Its foliar concentration varies from approx. 0.1% to 0.3% (on a dry weight basis), which is comparable to that of Phosphorus, Magnesium, and Sulphur (all of which are major elements).
Silica is often dubbed as the “Calcium organiser”, because it acts as a cross-linking agent that helps in the process of calcification of cell walls. Research also shows that the levels of Calcium and Silica rise concurrently
